I find that there are pros and cons having switched out of UAD’s ecosystem: Now that doesn’t include the autotune sub, pro tools sub, or other software instruments I bought like auturiq V collection and slate drums + toontrack SD3. So I decided to return it and divest in UAD as a platform. Meanwhile im sitting on a mid-high spec’d workstation with a Ryzen 3700x that never gets pushed. I had finally bought an octo satellite to pair with my twin but I was feeling like I was still limited even with 10 SHARC chips as the reverbs take up huge amounts, and I thought freezing tracks would be faster than real-time, but as it turns out, not by much when all the DSP is maxed out anyways.
(I rarely paid over $100 per plug-in since I always bought with the custom bundles) This is what I have on UAD:Īntares Autotune Realtime Advanced bundleĪPI Vision Plus (purchased both legacy and Luna extension) Lol yeah I’ve spent about $4000 usd on almost all their plugins not including interfaces and satellites and I’ve recently decided to go all native.
